Well done
Very useful app
Practical!
It is a very practical tool with a nice graphical user interface.
Excellent Tool
I have downloaded several machining apps, but this one has the nicest graphic interface with step-by-step calculations.

Really useful App… The best of its kind that o have ever seen. Very easy to use with very useful reference tables that usually I need them in the shop… I love having my phone as a tool at my work..
Feedback: It would be nice if you add more speed and rate data for other materials ..
Looks nice, not much info though
To the Developer: I hate to slam any of these apps that try to educate Machinists, but please go back and review what information you have put into this app.
Although this app has some nice pictures and explains how to use each area, the fields you need to populate are cluttered on the screen due to the graphics. Most apps similar to this dont need to have explanations as they are self-explanatory. I do like how one answer leads into the next question.
The Machining Parameters section is vague. Take for instance the Stainless Steel Section. There are several types of Stainless Steels and the proper SFM can vary quite a bit depending upon material hardness as well as which coating and carbide substrate is used, thus the reason why other apps probably dont include this detail and mislead someone unless provided by a tool manufacturer promoting their own product. The Turning Feed section should have some correlation between Depth of Cut and type of Tool Nose Radius at the least. The Milling Feed section needs to take into consideration Diameter of Tool and the Depth of Cut and available Horsepower. I wouldnt try those feedrates on Stainless or Alloy Steels unless I had my hand on the Big Red Button.
The Tap Drill Sizes are based off of older Drill Charts. Beware as the percentage of threads these suggest can cause problems with tap breakage or sloppy gaging. I prefer it when you can calculate the Minor Diameter Hole Size by the percentage of thread you wish for the fit you are after.
Nice start, Im sure to use it at times. But there are other apps that still are much more accurate, user friendly and not cluttered.
